But the Astros never run!
On September 2, 2007 in Chicago, IL at Wrigley Field, Jason Kendall allowed THREE Astros baserunners to steal second base.
Ty Wigginton
Hunter Pence
Eric Bruntlett
Where are you, A's fans praising the defense of Kendall's arm? I'm waiting.

it's amazing how quickly Jason Kendall seemed to crater. I know it's been more than a few years, but it doesn't seem that long ago that he was the next Craig Biggio for the Pirates, but he hasn't shown near the durability. It was an odd pickup by the Cubs, but so is Steve Trachsel. At least it gives me hope that the team in our division with the most money makes such strange decisions.
The Cubs seem to be picking up everyone they can -- Kendall made some sense, remarkably having some trade value left even after having a terrible season at and behind the plate. People seem to ignore numbers when it comes to him -- and the Pirates are still paying for it!
Craig Monroe is the pickup I was scratching my head over. The WGN guys seem to have it in their heads that he's "due" ... but he's been due for awhile. He was my Tiger. :(
And Traschel. My roommate is a Cubs fan and shouted at the television, "NOBODY WANTS HIM!"
I'm waiting for the implosion.
